Derby 2012 - Road to the Roses

As you have noticed, been rather quiet leading up to the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby.  Needless to say, it has been a busy period with recently purchasing a home in probably the hottest real estate market in nation (Thanks Facebook, LinkedIn, Zynga among others).  Thrilled with our off market purchase.  The annual selection will be revealed Friday May 4th -- still trying to find a sponsor.

Studying the horses this week to understand running styles while today was post position ceremony.  No real shockers as Hansen avoided a calamity as it was down to him and Daddy Long legs for the dreaded 1 hole...Hansen won and thus save your money by not placing any wagers on Daddy Long Legs.  One key prep oddly was BC Juvenile -- 9 Derby horses ran in that race while 2 others (Daddy Nose Best-BC Juvenile Turf and Trinniberg-BC Juvenile Sprint) also ran at the Breeder's Cup.

Back to the film room to review the preps, go over my notes and determine which trends to decode and lead to my annual selection.  Derby Record speaks for itself -- See you all Friday.

"Riders Up! See You in the Winner's Circle."
